After months of rumors and speculation, Disney Plus has officially announced The Bad Batch has been renewed for a second season and will release sometime in 2022!

President of Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, Michael Paull commented on the announcement saying, “Fans have enthusiastically embraced the action and drama of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and we are excited to see the Star Wars animated universe continue to expand on Disney+”. Executive producer Dave Filoni added, “The entire Lucasfilm Animation team and I would like to thank Disney + and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of the Bad Batch”.

Personally I haven’t really been enjoying The Bad Batch and this new announcement of a second season does not do much for me. The Bad Batch has had some pretty great episodes, but very few in my opinion. I am hoping that the series continues to grow and get better as it goes on just as Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars did.
