Today host of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live Geoff Keighely has announced a new look at LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will debut on August 25th during Opening Night Live.

Keighley didn’t share any additional information, but did share a image from the upcoming video game which you saw above.

Last year at Gamescom a new trailer for The Skywalker Saga debuted and confirmed the game had been delayed into Spring 2021. Unfortunately the game did not release, but was instead delayed indefinitely. My advice to fans is just because we’re getting a new trailer, it doesn’t mean the game will be releasing this year.

Previously I’d mentioned that back in February ahead of the games delay, I was told that a delay was happening, but the studio were hoping for a release in time for the Holidays, but TT Games would not be putting the physical and mental health of their staff at risk in an attempt to rush the video game out for the Holidays. Both myself and GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb both said we’d heard the studio was having issues with QA testing of the game many months ago. Hopefully these issues have been resolved and soon we’ll have The Skywalker Saga in our hands.

Gamescom kicks off next week with Opening Night Live on Wednesday at 11am PT / 7pm BST.
