TT Games debuted a brand new trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga at Gamescom and revealed its release window.

It’s been a whole year since we’ve seen any new footage from the eagerly anticipated Skywalker Saga and a whole year since we were told a release window, which the title unfortunately didn’t hit. However given the past year and a half delays were expected and welcomed as long as it meant the game would ship in good condition, but more importantly that the physical and mental health of TT Games’ staff were not damaged by trying to rush a game out during a global pandemic. Below you can the brand new trailer for The Skywalker Saga.

It feels like deja vu. This time last year at GamesCom we got a brand new trailer with a release window of Spring and this time at GamesCom we’ve got a brand new trailer with a release window once again of Spring. I know many were hoping to get the game in time for the holidays, but I for one am glad that TT Games are taking their time to make sure this eagerly anticipated title is done right.

The Skywalker Saga has been on a bit of a journey regarding releases dates. Initially The Skywalker Saga was originally announced back in July of 2019 with a release year of 2020 at the Xbox E3 showcase. Many months later The Star Wars Show announced that The Skywalker Saga would release in October 2020, before shortly taking the video down and re-uploading the video without a date. In August 2020 during GamesCom it was announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga had been hit with a delay and was now aiming for a Spring 2021 release date. As we entered the Spring of 2021, TT Games announced that the title was delayed and did not specify a release window. Today we have a new window of Spring 2022 and here’s to hoping by Star Wars Celebration the game will be in our hands.
