According to Kotaku, the Quantic Dream Star Wars video game is action-orientated and may be open-world.

Over the weekend rumours of French studio, Quantic Dream, working on a Star Wars video game really picked up traction thanks to a report by DualShockers. Most recently DualShockers claimed that the untitled video game had been in the works for 18 months, with production officially starting several months ago.

Kotaku are now backing up the rumours to some extent. Per one independent source, Kotaku are reporting that Quantic Dream are stepping away from their usual quick time event driven game and instead will be more action oriented with traditional action gameplay with the possibility of being open-world and could include multiplayer elements.

In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi, “that’s good news”, for me. The usual style of game Quantic Dream makes isn’t for me and the rumour of the studio working on a Star Wars title initially didn’t raise any interest for me, but I was willing to keep an open mind. However this news from Kotaku definitely has me intrigued and somewhat excited, especially if the title is open-world – something fans have been calling for a very long time.
