Warner Bros. and TT Games have officially (and finally) announced the new official release date for the much delayed, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Fans will finally get their hands on the title on April 5th, 2022!
Alongside the release date, TT Games debuted a new trailer for The Skywalker Saga, which you can check out above.
Two weeks ago I exclusively reported that I’d heard from my sources that The Skywalker Saga was aiming for an April, maybe even May release. I was told this information in both November and December of 2021, but due to the pandemic you can never be too confident in the release dates set for video games. I’m happy to see that fans (and I) will finally be able to play this game after almost two years of delays.
The Skywalker Saga was first unveiled during the Xbox E3 showcase in June 2019 and was set to release the following year. On May 7th, 2020, a release window of October 2020 was given during an episode of The Star Wars Show. The title suffered its first delay in August 2020 during Gamescom Opening Night Live, when the title was given a Spring 2021 release window. In April 2021, it was officially announced The Skywalker Saga had once again been delayed, but no release window was given. News on the title went silent until August 2021 at Gamescom Opening Night Live (again) where a release window of Spring 2022 was given.
