The Hollywood Reporter are reporting in their newsletter that according to their sources, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is looking to release in May.

In the newsletter THR discuss the now deleted tweet from Brandon SanGiovanni, a manager at Disney+, which read, “Our very own Obi-Wan will be saying “hello there” on Disney+…May 2022”. Shortly after the Disney+ manager claimed he was talking about the Obi-Wan Kenobi comicbook that was announced on the same day. The manager later made his profile private amid fans claiming they believed he messed up by accidentally revealing the series release window, and he was just attempting to back track following the goof.

THR say that according to their sources, Kenobi, is looking to release in May, but it’s “not official, until it’s official”. If accurate, and let’s face it…it probably is. then it feels like only a matter of time until we get an official announcement. Cinelinx Editor-in-Chief, Jordan Maison, took to Twitter to share that he’d been hearing various dates including the heavily speculated and hoped for May the 4th, and May 25th, which is the date Star Wars: A New Hope released back in 1977, but had also heard dates in June.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will be followed by Andor sometime between the start of July and the end of September which Disney confirmed last year during an earnings call. Ahead of Disney giving a release window, I was exclusively reporting that Andor was looking to release in either late August, or sometime in September. We also know that the second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch will also be releasing sometime in the Spring thanks to the Star Wars Insider magazine.

Be sure to keep checking my socials and this site in the coming weeks as I have some Kenobi reports of my own to exclusively reveal.
