It’s been a fun week for Andor updates with new cast members being revealed, and now actress Fiona Shaw has divulged some details regarding the character she plays in the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off.

During her appearance on BBC One’s The One Show, Shaw was asked about her role in the upcoming Star Wars series, Andor. Though she didn’t mention much, she did reveal that her character pilots a large spaceship in the series with Shaw saying, “I got to fly a spaceship, and that was really something. It was so high to get into the spaceship and it was tough to get in, and it isn’t what I thought it was going to be.”

The hosts pushed for more details, asking what sort of craft the ship in question was with Shaw saying, “What kind of craft? I mean, a huge one. They’re much bigger than cars, that’s why they took a lot of getting into, to climb up.” before adding “There’s a lot of switching.” as she uses her hands to indicate pressing buttons.

Fiona Shaw can currently be seen in the hit series Killing Eve, but she is probably best known for playing Petunia Dursley, Harry’s aunt, in the Harry Potter franchise.

The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off wrapped production in August (which I exclusively broke) after a nine month shoot, and is currently aiming to release between July and October per a Disney’s earnings call last Fall. Ahead of Disney’s announcement, I previously revealed on my podcast, BOB The Podcast, that Andor was aiming to release in August or September 2022.
