Recently Bryce Dallas Howard sat down for an interview with Romper, and as expected the subject of Star Wars arose with the interviewers children telling the actress turned director that Star Wars: The Clone Wars is their favourite Star Wars series, to which Howard responded, “Without giving anything away, you are going to love the Ahsoka show that’s coming up. I cannot tell you anything, but what I can say is that you being a fan of the Clone Wars will be greatly rewarded.”
More Star Wars questions are asked including The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and handrails, but there was nothing news worthy within those answers, however I’d strongly recommend you read the original article from Romper if you’re interested.
Howard seems to know something about the upcoming series which leads me to wonder if she’s onboard as a director. Howard directed episodes of The Mandalorian’s first two seasons, The Book of Boba Fett, and we here at Bespin Bulletin reported that Howard returned for episodes of the upcoming third season of Mando. Following the release of Bryce’s episode of Boba Fett, many fans championed the director getting her own series or film, with some hoping she’d take the reigns on Ahoksa. Recently we learned that Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) will direct an unspecified number of episodes, and it’s been expected that creator of the Ahsoka series, Dave Filoni, will direct also. Personally I’d be thrilled to see Bryce get a chance to direct multiple episodes of Ahsoka, and hope to see more of her directing efforts in the future – in the Star Wars universe and out.
Ahsoka begins filming later this month and stars Rosario Dawson (The Mandalorian), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs), Hayden Christensen (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Birds of Prey), Ivanna Sakhno (The Spy Who Dumped Me) and Ray Stevenson (Vikings) with a 2023 release expected.
