Hello there! We haven’t been short on Star Wars news recently, and I’m sure we’ll be getting some really exciting updates over the next month, but today I’m bringing you some fairly minor updates on a few television series in various stages of production.

Firstly we’ll start with Ahsoka, which will be the first to begin with filming due to take place primarily at Manhattan Beach Studios. I was first to report that Ahsoka would begin filming in late April, which was later corroborated by The Hollywood Reporter, but that it could slip into early May. Currently I do not know if filming has begun, but they’ve started work on creating sets at the train yard filming location used for The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I was told over three weeks ago that the sets due to be constructed at the train yard appear to be some kind of temple ruins, perhaps a Jedi temple, with sources telling me the set looks like ancient Roman ruins. Last week I managed to get a glimpse of the set being built and I’ve included some images below so you can get an idea as to what I’m describing.

Star Wars: A Droid Story has remained extremely quiet since it’s announcement back in December 2020, and was originally slated to release sometime in 2021, but that window came and went. In recent weeks I’ve heard of various Lucasfilm related happenings at Pinewood Studios, London and that actors, motion capture artists, motion capture actors and movement performers have been hard at work on a Star Wars project in recent weeks at Pinewood Studios including last week, with my initial belief being the project was The Acolyte until it was revealed by The Illuminerdi that production had been delayed to October, but with the HEAVY use of motion capture for this project, I’m now leaning towards it being linked to A Droid Story which is set to intersect animation and visual effects with Lucasfilm Animation and ILM both working on the project.

Lastly is Grammar Rodeo which is due to film from June until December at Manhattan Beach Studios and also in Culver City, which I exclusively reported a handful of weeks ago. Since then I’ve recently learned that the mysterious project will also film at a California State University, Dominguez Hills at some point, though unfortunately I don’t know specifics of the shoot at this time.
