May 31st – UPDATE: We recently updated the article pertaining the plot of episodes two, three and four, as some of the events in the initial leak from the reporter were out of order so please take that into consideration before reading. Some elements are more than likely out of order such as Kenobi’s arrival on Jabiim.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

We’re just over a week away from the release of the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi hitting our screens, but an alleged plot description of the fifth episode of Kenobi has arrived online courtesy of MakingStarWars.

Following the events of episode four which saw Kenobi defeated by his former apprentice, Roken (O’Shea Jackson Jr) and Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) take the badly burned Jedi master to the planet Jabiim, and it is here we see that the Partisans have a secret base that was a Clone Wars era installation inside of a large sinkhole. The importance of this secret base is that the Partisans are protecting a group of force sensitives from the Empire, and this colony could one day rise up to help take on the Empire.

Leia and Roken lay Kenobi’s burned body down and the force sensitives begin healing the wounded Jedi master with the force. Obi-Wan awakens to see himself surrounded by young force sensitives and it’s a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Kenobi starts to feel somewhat hopeful. Obi-Wan looks around the base where he recognises Clone Wars era weapons and realises that he’s been here before, he was once here with his former apprentice and friend, Anakin Skywalker, during the Clone Wars.

Obi-Wan is more hopeful than he has been in a very long time, and he has more fight than ever. Seeing Bail Organa, The Partisans, and Leia defy the Empire and the colony of force sensitives they protect, Kenobi believes that Order 66 was not the end of the Jedi, and there is hope for the future. Kenobi meditates and begins to think about ways he can once again defeat his former padawan which is when we supposedly see a Clone Wars era flashbacks, where master and apprentice are spar with their lightsabers. Anakin (Hayden Christensen) is a smartass who points out Kenobi’s flaws with the Jedi master quipping back with instructions and advice, which as expected Skywalker arrogantly ignores. It’s within this memory that Obi-Wan finds the key to defeating his fallen apprentice.

The Empire has successfully tracked Kenobi and company to Jabiim and they descend on the planet. Darth Vader, Reva (Moses Ingram), The Fifth Brother (Sung Kang), arrive along with a battalion of Stormtroopers and Purge Troopers, ready to wipe out the defiers of the Empire, and more importantly Kenobi.

The Empire attacks the base, but the rebellion hold their ground and fight off the Imperial threat with Clone Wars era blasters, and we see Kumail Nanjiani’s character, who appears to be more than meets the eye, readying the force sensitives by giving them lightsabers and Kyber Crystals. The battle of Jabiim is well underway, but during this clash Reva reveals to Kenobi that she knows his secret and Kenobi knows that Luke is in danger, and he escapes with Roken and Leia. End.
