Filoni took to to the stage for yet another exciting panel that wasn’t streamed to the public and revealed that he wrote the first episode on a plane and promised if Lucasfilm could find money to fund the project then he’d make it a reality. It’s unclear which episode he wrote first, possibly one featuring Ahsoka Tano, who’s confirmed to have a three episodes in the series and will tell various tales of her life.

Filoni debuted one of the Ahsoka episodes of Tales titled Life and Death which featured Ahsoka’s mother voiced by Janina Gavankar (Iden Versio), as well as Ahsoka as a baby and many described the episode as “very Miyazaki” and powerful.

Dave also revealed that there’s an episode that focuses on a young Count Dooku for which he showed concept art of and he’ll feature in episodes with Qui-Gon Jinn and Mace Windu. Filoni also mentioned episodes featuring Qui-Gon Jinn, will be voiced by Liam Neeson, and a younger Jinn will also feature in the series and will be played by Neeson’s son.

As Filoni wrapped up the panel by debuting a trailer for the series which included Padmé’s funeral, Ahsoka getting her second lightsaber, the turn of Count Dooku, Bail Organa, Ahsoka facing off against an Inquisitor, Yaddle clashing with Count Dooku and confirmed the release of the six episode series as this Fall on Disney+.
