One of the more exciting panels at Celebration today, The Bad Batch, kicked off the day with a surprise appearance from Dave Filoni who introduced Brad Rau, Jen Corbett, Dee Bardley Baker and Michelle Ang to the stage as they looked back on the animated series, performed a script read and delved into the characters.

The most exciting news from the panel came when attention turned to the future of the series around forty minutes into the panel, in particular its second season which was announced last year, but things have been ever so quiet since. They kicked things off with a scene from the first episode of second season which saw our crew sporting a new look, replacing the red on their armour with orange, but the most noticeable difference is Omega, who appears to be older, and wears a headpiece similar to a baseball cap in design. In the quick scene we see Omega playing on the beach whilst Tech tells her to focus on her studies, suddenly the rest of the team run towards them being chased by some giant crab looking creatures and attempt to fight them off whilst Omega and Tech try and get their ship to take off.

Following the scene the panel debuted a new poster for the second season which featured the tagline, Long Road Ahead, before debuting the trailer for season two for those in attendance which was released online officially mere minutes later and showed our heroes in action, along with appearances from Emperor Palpatine, and fan-favourite characters such as Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Clone Commandos and Gungi.
