Today a promotional banner for The Bad Batch appeared on Disney+ in some markets and sported the release date of September 28th. Though I was unable to verify this myself as the listing does not appear on the United Kingdom version of the streaming service, other individuals and outlets were able to see the listing on the United States version of Disney Plus.

Just last week Lucasfilm confirmed the second season of the animated series would release sometime this Fall and released a trailer publicly to promote the news. I personally find it quite odd that they’d announce the release date just a week later, but perhaps at the time they did not have a date set in stone.

The trailer Lucasfilm released online shows Clone Force 99 on some new exciting adventures, and gave us brief glimpses at fan-favourite characters appearing in the second season including Emperor Palpatine, Captain Rex, Commander Cody and Gungi. However the trailer released online reportedly differs to the one shown inside of the Anaheim Convention Centre, which was reportedly longer and showed more of Commander Cody.

This year still promises Star Wars fans some exciting content with the release of the live-action Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off series, Andor, which releases two episodes on August 31st and will run into October. We also have Dave Filoni’s animated anthology series of shorts, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, which is due to release sometime this fall. And finally we have the return of Clone Force 99, with The Bad Batch season two gearing up for a September 28th release.
