We’re just over a month away from the double-bill premiere of Andor and promotion on the series us starting to ramp up a little. Though there’s no new trailer, a TV spot has been released, as well as a couple of news images, and costumes for Andor have appeared at San Diego Comic-Con.

Cassian Andor’s costume at SDCC has a little bit of information on display alongside it, “as part of his entry into this growing Rebellion, Cassian Andor must undertake a dangerous mission on Aldhani.”

Ferrix

The planet of Aldhani has not previously been mentioned, the only planet we know of in Andor is Ferrix. Ferrix is the planet we see primarily in the teaser trailer of a town with red sand on the ground as the Empire storm the area and has a significant salvage operation. I previously reported that I believe these to be the same location before we saw any trailer which you can read here. So it brings up the question, which planet is Aldhani? I don’t know, but I think back to various locations Andor filmed at. Images and video from last year at Cleveleys showed scenes of Cassian running from the Empire on a planet with palm trees, beaches, an ocean and Shoretroopers, something we’ve yet to see in promotional material. The official teaser trailer also shows a planet which lushest green valleys and forests, where there’s clearly a Rebel operation happening and seems to have an Imperial base.

Also at SDCC was a the droid B2EMO who’s description reads, “B2EMO or simply Bee, is a very old groundmech salvage assist unit that has been towing scrap for the Andor family for years. The droid has a wide array of mechanical tools and various capabilities to meet functions required.”

The most important piece of information in Bee’s description is that the droid has been with the Andor family for years. We assume Ferrix is Cassian’s adopted home-world as his birth planet is destroyed early on in the series, meaning there’s likely more than one Andor on Ferrix. Remember I reported I’d previously off handily heard that Adria Arjona’s character was referred to as Cassian’s sister, and the series previously cast child actors to portray Cassian and an unknown female character for flashbacks. Arjona can be seen in the teaser on the planet Ferrix as can Cassian and B2EMO (see image towards the top of the article).

Vel Sartha?

The final tidbit comes from the back card of a Star Wars The Vintage Collection figure which showcases as figure for a new character named Vel Sartha. The figure shows a female character wearing a brown jacket holding a blaster rifle and eagle eyed fans believe it’s the person I’ve pictured above located on Ferrix due to the figure and character having some similarities. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is Sartha as Star Wars merchandise in recent years have typically only focused on characters and locations early on in the series in the first wave of products, and we know the Ferrix scenes take place early on in the Andor series.

My excitement for Andor is rising and I can’t wait for the series to finally hit our screens. Andor has been without question my most anticipated Star Wars project in recent years due to the sheer amount of talent working on the series. Hopefully promotion ramps up soon as I can’t wait to see and learn more about the series.
