UPDATE: During the Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios and 20th Century presentation at the D23 Expo, Dave Filoni took to the stage to reveal a brand new trailer for Tales of the Jedi, and confirmed that all six episodes will release on October 26th.
We’re now just minutes away from Lucasfilm, 20th Century and Marvel Studios combined presentation at D23 Expo 2022, and it appears one of the announcements of the event has leaked out.
According to The Imperial Senate Podcast who are attending the presentation, a teleprompter displayed in hall 23 that was being worked on had text on it that revealed Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi will release all six episodes on October 26th, 2022. At the moment the podcasters are the only ones making this claim as they sit amongst media in the room, if any other outlet backs the claim I’ll add it to this post, but I don’t see any reason for the podcasters to lie and I’m inclined to believe them. However we’ll know within the hour when to expect Tales of the Jedi.
Disney and Lucasfilm previously announced at Star Wars Celebration that the animated anthology series would be released sometime this Fall, but did not give a more specific window. At the time trailers, concept art and an entire episode were shown to those in attendance at Celebration and not to the general public. If what the podcast is claiming is true, then fans can likely expect an exciting trailer for the series today during the presentation that’ll be released to the general public.
