In what feels like a never ending saga, a new release date for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season two has been listed on dsny.pl. The website has listed the second season for release on January 4th, 2023, four months after it’s expected release date.
The saga of The Bad Batch season two release date has become tedious if you ask me. Back in May Disney listed the second season for release on September 28th via Disney+ streaming service and up until August not a single mention of the series or it’s release date came from Disney or Lucasfilm. On August 16th, Disney sent out a press release which listed what to expect in September on Disney+, but the second season of The Bad Batch was not part of the scheduled programming. Just a few days later, Disney+ Australia listed the second season for release on September 28th, the original release date from May. Yesterday ABC, a Disney owned company, showed promotional material for upcoming Disney releases including The Bad Batch season two alongside its September 28th release date. That brings us to today.
Dsny.pl isn’t an official Disney website as you’d imagine, but what the site in question does is automated script scans of the official Disney+ website which shows libraries from different regions. Just two hours ago the site changed the release date for The Bad Batch season two to January 4th, after it was previously listed for September 28th.
This is why I’m classing this one as rumour for now. Official Disney outlets have boasted the release date of September 28th as recently as yesterday and for all we know it could simply just be an error in the Disney+ code. However you’d expect we’d conclude this saga today on Disney+ Day. Disney+ are set to have exciting reveals today alongside exciting new releases on Disney+, for Star Wars fans we’ve been gifted Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return and a special look at Andor. Hopefully by the days end we’ve got an official update on Star Wars: The Bad Batch season two.
