Hello there! Before we continue with the article, I’m just informing you that I’ve now joined the social media services, Hive and Mastodon. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!
Back in October, journalist and insider, Jeff Grubb, revealed on his podcast, Games Mess Mornings, that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was due to start marketing in December ahead of its long rumoured March release. When I covered Grubb’s report on October 21st, I revealed that my own sources had told me that a trailer was expected to be unveiled at this years Game Awards on December 8th. Today two individual reports are reiterating that a new trailer will debut at The Game Awards.
The first instance comes from Jeff Grubb, who took to Hive (you can follow me on Hive here) and posted the following, “Star Wars Jedi Survivor is planned to be at The Game Awards. That should confirm the release date for March”, and around the same time an article by Tom Henderson for Insider Gaming corroborated Grubb’s post, and shared details on their own. According to Insider Gaming, the trailer will reveal the video games release date and pre-order date, with the trailer reveal expected around thirty minutes into the show. Though Insider Gaming referenced the post by Grubb, Bespin Bulletin was not credited in the article despite our successful track record when it comes to providing accurate reports on various pieces on various Star Wars media, including video games with an example being, in January we reported that the Jedi: Fallen Order sequel would be revealed at Star Wars Celebration before anybody else.
Both Grubb and Henderson have fantastic track records when it comes to inside information pertaining to video games, so if both of these journalists are saying we should expect to see a new trailer for the highly anticipated Jedi: Survivor at The Game Awards, then it’s all but confirmed.
