Hello there! Before we continue with the article, I kindly ask for you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

Collider appear to have had a juicy conversation with Andor show runner, Tony Gilroy, as over the past few days they’ve shared details from their interview with the man behind Andor including directors lined-up for the second season as well as writers and a start date for principal photography. During their discussion regarding bringing in writer Tom Brissell (The Disaster Artist) to work on the upcoming second season, Tony Gilroy let slip that we’d be returning to Yavin IV next season.

“…We’re going into Rogue One, and we’re going into Yavin, and then where we eventually need to really weave our way back to the source.” – Tony Gilroy

Given that season two will run up until the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, seeing Yavin 4 felt like a given, but it’s still nice to get confirmation on the planets appearance in the series.

Andor season two is gearing up to film in the U.K. in just a couple of weeks and The Acolyte is currently filming in the United Kingdom at Shinfield Studios. Across the pond Ahsoka is nearing the end of production (may have even wrapped), Skeleton Crew will continue to film until December, and there’s rumblings that the fourth season of The Mandalorian is gearing up to start filming at Manhattan Beach Studios in November.
