Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

Following his article from last week containing exciting tidbits for both Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, MakingStarWars has followed up with more details for the latter. Last week MSW shared that Skeleton Crew will take place in a new galaxy or at least a part of the galaxy we’re familiar with which we’ve never seen before dubbed ‘New Beyond’, but it’s unclear if that’s the official name of the location or if it’s just what those affiliated with the production refer to it as.

In the latest report, MSW, says that the kids the series focuses on are on a field trip with their teacher, Jude Law, with said trip taking them to the ‘new beyond’, but whilst out there and come into confrontation with pirates and visit ‘rough’ and ‘opulent’ locations. The article made various comparisons to The Goonies, which makes sense given the series itself is inspired by 80’s Amblin produced films.

Speaking of pirates, MSW claims to have seen images of various species in the series, with one being a weequay that looks suspiciously like Hondo Ohnaka, though they did not get confirmation if Ohnaka is in the series. In addition to the Weequay, MSW mentions seeing Baradas, Mon Cal’s, Rodians, and a selection of well known species in the Star Wars universe.

The unfortunate part of the report is that MSW has heard from various people who formally worked on Skeleton Crew, who’s informed them that the shoot has been tougher than past California based Star Wars productions. Crew members reportedly felt under appreciated, disposable and disrespected which resulted in low morale and many staff members leaving the production. Unfortunately I too have heard similar things and it truly saddens me.
