Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

The second season of the critically acclaimed Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off, Andor, began filming just over two months ago at Pinewood Studios, London. The series created by Tony Gilroy did a lot of on location shooting for its first season, setting up shop in various parts of England and Scotland, but so far season two has yet to venture out from behind the walls of Pinewood. However it seems that is about to change.

According to Las Provinas, the second season of Andor is gearing up to start shooting relatively soon in Valencia, Spain and that the series was currently in the process of casting extras. In addition, the Twitter account, Perdidos en Hoth shared that they had two individuals casting scenes for the series in Valencia, adding fuel to the flames that Andor will soon be filming in the city.

Some fans have begun speculating on where in the city cameras could get rolling with the most frequently brought up location being the City of Arts and Science, more specifically the Hemisferic. There was no evidence pointing towards this location, just merely the design of the Hemisferic with fans comparing it to the use of Canary Wharf and the Barbican were used in Andor season one. The City of Arts and Science was previously used for the Disney films Tomorrowland and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

Hemisferic

Though it look’s completely unlike the Hemisferic pictured above, there’s been a large Andor set being built outdoors at Pinewood Studios for quite some time that I’ve pictured before. Though the City of Arts and Science in Valencia is very futuristic in its design, I wonder if instead they’ll use the old architecture in the city as the designs on the art being built is somewhat reminiscent of Naboo, which was shot in Italy.

Andor season two is two months into filming at Pinewood Studios and is due to film until sometime in August. Following its post-production process, the second season is expected to release in the latter half of next year exclusively on Disney+.
