Hello there! Before we continue with the article I kindly ask you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

In just over one week from now, the highly anticipated third season of the hit Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, will debut on our screens. Though we’ve not even seen the first episode as of yet, the creator of the series, Jon Favreau, has revealed that he’s already completed writing the fourth season of the show.

Promotion on the third season is in full swing, with members of cast and crew doing many interviews at this moment in time. Series creator, Jon Favreau, sat down with BFMTV Inside where he spoke about the third season of The Mandalorian, and it was during this chat with the outlet that Favreau revealed that he’s already written the fourth season of the Disney+ series. He told the outlet:

Season four? Yeah, I’ve written it already. We have to know where we’re going to tell a fully formed story, so we mapped it out – Dave [Filoni] and I. Slowly you just write each episode. So I was writing it [season four] during post-production [of season three], because all of it needs to feel like a continuation and one full story, and he’s [Dave Filoni] doing ‘Ahsoka’, which I’m producing with him, but he’s the writer and showrunner on that. So to understand what’s happening on other shows, even ‘Skeleton Crew’, all take place in the same Star Wars time period so there’s a lot more we need to keep in mind, and stuff we’ve built up to from previous seasons of ‘The Mandalorian’ as well.”

It comes as no surprise that Jon Favreau has already completed writing the fourth season of The Mandalorian, as in May of last year he revealed he was already working on the season. In October of last year he told Entertainment Weekly that he was still writing the fourth season, but now doing so with Skeleton Crew, a series from Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) that Favreau is producing, in mind when shaping Mando’s next season. Past rumours pointed towards the fourth season of The Mandalorian filming this year, but there’s been no update as of yet as to when filming could begin – hopefully we get an update soon.
