Newbury Today are exclusively reporting that an unknown series which they believe to be Star Wars related is filming at the Greenham Common in Newbury, Berkshire. Though it’s clear that the production taking place at the RAF airbase is most certainly a Star Wars production, with the outlet even noting a sighting of Moroff, a character featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, they have not had confirmation – but it’s most certainly scenes being filmed for the upcoming season of the critically acclaimed series, Andor.

The location may be familiar to Star Wars fans, as Greenham Common was previously used for various scenes for Star Wars: The Force Awakens which filmed at the facility back in 2014, and has been used for other high profile film and television productions, including 2021’s F9: The Fast Saga.

The news of filming at the Greenham Common follows planned filming at the Winspit Quarry being cancelled last week for the series. Winspit Quarry was previously used for season one of Andor as the base of operations for Saw Gerrera and his partisans.
