The second volume of Star Wars, the critically acclaimed animated anthology series, has finally had a trailer released ahead of its release on May 4th.

The trailer debuted during the Visions panel at Star Wars Celebration, which ends later today. This volume of Visions see’s episodes masterfully crafted from animation studios across the world, including Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra), 88 Pictures (Rise of the Titans), Studio La Cachette (Love Death and Robots) and Aardman (Wallace and Gromit) to name a select few.

The Visions trailer wasn’t only piece of exciting animation news coming out of Star Wars Celebration today, as it has officially been confirmed that a third season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is in production and will release sometime in 2024. However, in news that surely break the hearts of Bad Batch fans, Lucasfilm confirmed that the third season of the series will unfortunately be its last.

Things look bright for the short-term in regards to Star Wars animated projects, with a stellar trailer for Visions volume two, and confirmation of the third and final season of The Bad Batch releasing next year. Unfortunately, long term, things are a bit muddy as there’s been no other series confirmed to be in development at this time. We do know that a second season of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi has been confirmed and is in some form of development, but the season does not have a release window at this time. I’m sure come Star Wars Celebration 2025, Lucasfilm will have exciting updates to share in regards to animated series.
