Another year and another LEGO holiday Star Wars special! The title of the next Disney+ has been revealed at LEGO’s booth at San Diego Comic Con.

Before we continue with news of the day, I’d just like to share that you can now follow me on Threads here. Also, you can support my work in two ways. Firstly it’s via my newly created Patreon page which has a single tier at this time simply to support my work. Secondly you can tip me with a simple one off payment on my Ko-Fi page or you can choose to support my work monthly on the platform. I’d truly appreciate it if you decided to support my work, but no pressure, I know things are pretty tough out here. Anyway, back to the reason you came here – the news!

Reddit user Spider-Fan77 took to the platform to share a snap from their adventures at the convention. The user visited LEGO’s booth and discovered a large sign promoting their “coming attractions” which featured already revealed TV releases such as LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising and LEGO Friends: The Next Chapter. However the most interesting listing on their board was a the title, LEGO Star Wars: Mandoween, which had yet to be formally announced by Disney and has now been revealed at LEGO’s booth. In addition, another unannounced title unrelated to Star Wars, LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red, was also listed, pointing towards Marvel LEGO specials coming to Disney+.

There’s been no details on Mandoween from SDCC as of yet and no convention goes have shared any details from the event either. One ResetEra user did share an image from the event where you can make out a poster for the Mandoween special at their booth if you squint, but as of the time of writing, there’s no additional details on the upcoming Disney+ release.

Lucasfilm, Disney and LEGO have released a special on Disney+ every year since 2020 which began with the LEGO Star Wars: Holiday Special and saw LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales releases in 2021 and LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation release in 2022. Each release is centred around a holiday and typically releases in the build up towards that holiday period. Given the title, Mandoween will be a Halloween themed release and the second of the LEGO Star Wars releases, following 2021’s Terrifying Tales. As mentioned, the LEGO and Star Wars specials typically releases on the run up to the holiday that they’re themed after and it likely gives us an insight into when we can expect the Mandoween to be released.

Terrifying Tales, LEGO and Star Wars’ last Halloween themed effort, was released on Friday, October 1st, 2021. Fridays seem to be the usual release day for the LEGO Star Wars specials, with Summer Vacation releasing on August 5th, 2022 – Friday. Given this information, I suspect that we’ll see Mandoween debut on the streaming service on either Friday, September 29th, 2023 or on Friday, October 6th, 2023.
