Before we continue with news of the day, I’d just like to share that you can support my work in two ways for which I’d be extremely grateful. Firstly it’s via my newly created Patreon page which has a two tier’s at this time – one to simply to support my work and a second which features ad-free articles. Secondly you can tip me with a simple one off payment on my Ko-Fi page or you can choose to support my work monthly on the platform. I’d truly appreciate it if you decided to support my work, but no pressure, I know things are pretty tough out here. Anyway, back to the reason you came here – the news!
Fortnite is set to launch its new season, Last Resort, on August 25th and have been teasing the release for the past week. Over the past few days various skins tied to the seasons upcoming battle pass made their way on line, and one insider, who had been accurate in regards to other skins appearing in the upcoming season, claimed that Star Wars fan-favourite character, Ahsoka Tano, was set to have a skin released at some point during the season as part of the promotional campaign the Disney+ series, Ahsoka, which debuted on the streaming service yesterday. Unfortunately the insider did not know if the Tano skin was tied to the seasons battle pass or it was going to be available in the Fortnite item shop, but we now seemingly have an answer.

Fortnite have today officially released the trailer for their upcoming season, Last Resort, which is heist themed. Tano did not make an appearance in the trailer, but has appeared in a promotional image for the season. Fortnite insider, iFireMonkey, listed the names of the skins set to feature in the battle pass this season and included Ahsoka Tano in the list. Fortnite typically releases a battle pass trailer on the day the new season launches, which is set to be tomorrow, so chances are we’ll get it officially confirmed that Ahsoka Tano will feature in the battle pass then.

As Ahsoka Tano is tied to the battle pass, the only way to obtain the character is by purchasing the pass with in-game currency (vbucks) which you can buy in the Fortnite store. Ahsoka will not be available in the store, so once you miss out on this battle pass, you will not be able to purchase Ahsoka again. Fortnite and Lucasfilm have previously used this method in the past, tying both Din Djarin and Darth Vader to battle passes in the past, meaning those characters will not be able to be purchased again. Once you’ve purchased the battle pass, you can start earning experience to level up and earn the battle pass rewards which will include the Ahsoka Tano skin. There are 100 levels inside the Fortnite battle pass, along with bonus rewards, but at this time we don’t know what level reward Ahsoka will be – previously Darth Vader was level 100.

There’s no word on additional Ahsoka series skins making their way into the video game, but I’m holding out hope the possible arrival of Sabine Wren. As a regular player of Fortnite I’m very happy Tano is part of the new season and tied to the battle pass. The last few seasons of the game have been truly underwhelming and I’ve not found the recent battle passes interesting, so having Ahsoka tied to it excites me and gives me a goal to work towards.
Fortnite’s next season, Last Resort, launches on August 25th as will its season battle pass that features the Ahsoka Tano skin,
