The next episode of Ahsoka, episode four, is scheduled to release on Tuesday evening and will be directed by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s Peter Ramsey, who directed the fifth episode of The Mandalorian season three – The Pirate. Rumours appeared online in regards to the episodes runtime, and the director took to X/Twitter and seemingly confirmed those rumours.

Before we continue with news of the day, I’d just like to share that you can support my work in two ways for which I’d be extremely grateful. Firstly it’s via my newly created Patreon page which has a two tier’s at this time – one to simply to support my work and a second which features ad-free articles. Secondly you can tip me with a simple one off payment on my Ko-Fi page or you can choose to support my work monthly on the platform. I’d truly appreciate it if you decided to support my work, but no pressure, I know things are pretty tough out here. Anyway, back to the reason you came here – the news!

X user, Diamond Fire, shared that the upcoming fourth episode of Ahsoka would boast a runtime of 42 minutes, the length of the series second episode. Over the past few weeks, runtimes for the Ahsoka series have been getting leaked by X user Cryptic HD Quality, who accurately released the information for the first three episodes of the series. Cryptic as of the time of writing has not shared a runtime for episode four, but Diamond Fire has, but given that we’re unfamiliar with the latter, it’s understandable that most wouldn’t take their claim without scepticism. However, episode four director, Peter Ramsey, quote tweeted the rumour with a fist emoji and an explosion emoji.

I’m not going to dive into what a fist and explosion emoji means, that’s a tad ridiculous, but given that Ramsey clearly saw the rumour and took the time to quote tweet the claim, it’s likely true given his response and that he did not not take take time to debunk the rumour. Though the runtime is 42 minutes, it’s likely the actual content of the episode is closer to 39 or 40 minutes when you take away the credits, intro and previous episode recap.

As always, Lucasfilm have kept details of the fourth episode close to their chest, but given what we’ve seen from various trailers and promotional material, along with the events of episode three, we’re expecting Sabine Wren to face off against Shin Hati while Ahsoka Tano battles the mysterious Marrok. Footage also indicated an explosion of some kind, with Ahsoka and Marrok running from it and it’s possible that this episode will also see Ahsoka take on Baylan Skoll, though that seems like a lot to try and shove into a 42 minute episode. I’d expect to see that Baylan and Ahsoka fight in the fifth episode of the series.
