Jon Watts, the co-creator of the upcoming Star Wars live-action series, Skeleton Crew, has revealed that the show that’s set in the ‘MandoVerse’ timeline created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will released ‘around Christmas’ this year.

In an interview with Collider, Jon Watts revealed that the series will release around Christmas. The Collider article doesn’t give any additional details and it appears Watts doesn’t get any more specific than ‘around Christmas.’

The reveal should not come as a shock that the series is aiming towards the end of the year. Back in September I shared exclusively that Skeleton Crew, which was due to release in November 2023, had suffered a delay by an entire year, marking November 2024 as a rough window. MakingStarWars corroborated my report in November 2023 and shared that he too had heard that Skeleton Crew would release between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2024.

The report of mine from September also mentioned that The Acolyte would be the first live-action Star Wars series to release in 2024 and would release around the Summer – The Acolyte is due to release on June 4th. The article additionally mentioned that Andor season two would be delayed from its planned Summer 2024 release into early 2025 – the report was backed up by Germain Lussier.
