Over a handful of weeks ago it was reported by DanielRPK via their Patreon that Ahsoka season two was looking to shoot in the United Kingdom with filming starting in April. The report was labeled as an exclusive, though I had previously reported exclusively months earlier that the second season was gearing up to shoot in April, at least as of the time of writing.

Before we continue with the article, I’d just like to share that you can now find Bespin Bulletin on Blue Sky. Also, if you’re feeling generous due to the holiday spirit and are a fan of Bespin Bulletin, you could support my work by tipping via Ko-Fi or my becoming a Patreon member – we’ve been losing subscribers as of late. Any support would be greatly appreciated. The site has not been doing well, I haven’t been paid for most of the year, and Patreon numbers have been dwindling. So if you feel like helping me and the site out, that would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, on with the news!

I didn’t cover the RPK report at the time until I could get confirmation of the move from California to the United Kingdom myself from sources. I did have a single source inform me that production was set to move to the U.K., but readers will know I never act on a single source.

It’s now being reported by IndieWire that the second season of Ahsoka is looking to shoot in United Kingdom this Spring. Now with IndieWire and DanielRPK reporting the U.K. production and myself hearing it from a single source, it’s apparent that this is the case and Ahsoka season two will be filming in the United Kingdom this April.

The IndieWire article mentions that as of now, Lucasfilm currently has no planned projects looking to shoot in the U.S. in foreseeable future, but that the studio has not abandoned shooting in the country. Past U.S. productions include the first season of Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Skeleton Crew and three seasons of The Mandalorian, as well as The Mandalorian and Grogu movie – the first Star Ware movie to shoot entirely in the United States and wrapped some days ago. Recent United Kingdom Star Wars productions include Andor seasons one and two, The Acolyte and the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

One interesting note from IndieWire is that Lucasfilm and Dave Filoni are planning to use a multitude of different filming techniques and will not be as reliant on the volume which the California based Star Wars productions have been. I’m sure this news will excite many readers.

Ahsoka season two is due to begin filming in April and will likely arrive on the Disney+ streaming service in 2026.
