Ahsoka Season 2 has just received its first teaser trailer at D23. Also, a release date has been given following a delay from this year. Let’s take a look at what was revealed regarding this eagerly awaited season.
On Friday night, Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni took to the Disney Studio Showcase Panel stage to give fans a proper look at Ahsoka Season 2. Filoni brought out stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi. The group teased how this season will be a far bigger story than the previous one.
“The stakes are higher, the battles are bigger… and the threat of Thrawn looms large for Ahsoka, her crew, and the entire galaxy.”

Ahsoka Season 2 Release Date
2027 is going to start off strong with Star Wars releases. Dave Filoni confirmed that Ahsoka Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ from January 20th 2027; ahead of the 50th anniversary re-release.
Ahsoka Season 2 Teaser Trailer
The first trailer is 90 seconds long and contains plenty of Ahsoka and Anakin Skywalker. We see Anakin’s ghost speak with both Dawson’s Ahsoka and Clone Wars era Ahsoka played by Ariana Greenblatt. As Thrawn declares war on the Rebels, Nightsisters board New Republic vessels and a hallway massacre scene takes place. Speaking of which, we also get a look at ground battles taking place on Dathomir. Nightsisters team up with the undead Stormtrooper garrison.
The standout shots from this trailer are the large scale space battles. B-Wings use their Composite-beam Laser on the Chimaera docked inside the Eye of Sion as a New Republic fleet takes on Thrawn’s forces. Plenty of Lightsaber duels are included too. You can watch the trailer below:
