Anakin Skywalker’s role in Star Wars Zero Company has been revealed by Lucasfilm themselves.
On Friday, a brand new gameplay trailer for Star Wars Zero Company was released giving fans lots of new in-game footage to comb through. A release date was also given, pre-orders opened and even more screenshots were dropped. However, the big surprise of the night was Anakin Skywalker appearing in the trailer. This confirmed he would be in the game at some point.
Given this game is set in the final year of the Clone Wars and ends with the early days of the Galactic Empire, many fans speculated that Anakin’s involvement would be an Order 66 mission. Based on officially released info, that is not what we’re seeing in the trailer.
According to StarWars.com, during a part of Zero Company’s canonical story, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker will be on a “crucial mission”. The Chosen One and Zero Company’s paths will “briefly” cross whilst this mission is ongoing. The article states that Zero Company’s “intel and tactical expertise” is the key Anakin needs to complete his objective. It is unknown if fans will be able to control the hero much like other units.

The Jedi Knight is not the only well-known character you’ll come across in Zero Company. The article states that fans can expect to “encounter a familiar face or two from this era”. Given Zero Company will be all about doing off the record, classified missions, it will narrow down who we’ll potentially meet.
