Earlier reports this week state Academy Award winning director, Chloe Zhao, was set to direct Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film. A new report claims she will not.
Earlier this week, One Take News, run by Big Screen Leaks, reported that according to their sources, Eternals director, Chloe Zhao, had either signed on or was close to signing on to direct Kevin Feige’s untitled Star Wars film which is aiming for a 2027 release.
The Hollywood Reporter today are reporting that Zhao is not attached to direct Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film, she’s not attached to any Star Wars project at all, according to their insiders.
Zhao is a fantastic director and her attachment to a Star Wars film would be warmly welcomed by me and I hope one day she gets to direct a film in a galaxy far, far away. Only time will tell if the earlier report from One Take News was legitimate or not.
