According to a new report from DualShockers, Creative Assembly, the studio behind the Total War: Warhammer series of video games and Alien: Isolation, are working on an untitled Star Wars video game, reportedly titled, Total War: Star Wars.

According to DualShockers, Creative Assembly are currently actively working on three new video games sporting the ‘Total War’ name, and Total War: Star Wars is one of them. It’s likely and speculated by the outlet that one of the those three games is another entry in the studios Total War: Warhammer series as they typically release a new entry annually, though they skipped a year in 2021.
DualShockers mention that in October 2023, Total War: Star Wars was seen as the second game of the three new Total War titles Creative Assembly were cooking up. Meaning it’s likely still a couple of years away from release.
Back in November 2023, I had heard from a singular source that Creative Assembly were working on a Star Wars title. I spent months trying to find a second source on the information, but could not, so I’m glad that DualShockers has heard the same as I had. I was told back in the Fall of 2023 that Creative Assembly were working on an untitled Star Wars strategy game, that it was early in production and was likely years away from release.
Andy Robinson of VGC shared on X following the DualShockers report that he too had heard Creative Assembly were working on a Star Wars strategy game. Robinson in May of 2023 hinted at an unannounced Star Wars strategy game being in development, but did not share the studio behind it. He’s now revealed on X that Creative Assembly is the studio he had heard that were working on the title.
So that brings that count to three separate sources that have heard this information and given the reputation of the sources, I think it’s safe to say that chances are this video game is being worked on.
