Darth Vader reportedly won’t appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi until episode three

Darth Vader stands in a smoke-filled, red-lit hallway of a Rebel ship from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He has his left hand raised in a Force choke gesture while holding his ignited red lightsaber in his right hand.

This week really feels like the week of Obi-Wan Kenobi, as we’ve had multiple exciting leaks from the series, as well as getting an official release date alongside a the first official poster.

Earlier this week I reported an exclusive regarding the Inquisitors in Obi-Wan Kenobi, with one of them being the Grand Inquisitor played by Rupert Friend (Hitman: Agent 47). However we know the Inquisitors won’t be serving as the main villains of the series, that title is left for none other than Darth Vader, and a new report from MakingStarWars adds new details.

According to the report, Darth Vader will not show up in the series until the third episode, quite fitting considering Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was Hayden Christensen’s last appearance, and that the initial episodes will primarily focus on Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and the aforementioned Inquisitors. Vader will reportedly feature in each episode following and he’s more reminiscent of his appearance in Rogue One, but angrier.

It’s also mentioned that one of the actors portraying Darth Vader in the series, Tom O’Connell, also plays a Zabrak Jedi in the series, meaning we’re seeing previously unseen Jedi and my assumption would be we see these Jedi in flashbacks given Ewan McGregor recently revealed that Hayden Christensen filmed scenes as Anakin Skywalker, and not just as Darth Vader.

It feels as if the flood gates are opening up on Obi-Wan Kenobi now that The Book of Boba Fett has wrapped up. Stay tuned to this site and my socials to keep up to date, but if you want updates as they happen then I suggest you subscribe to my website which you can do at the bottom of this page, and if you feel as if you want to support my work then you can tip me on Ko-Fi here.
