Details on Ivanna Sakhno’s character in Ahsoka reportedly leaked

According to a new report, details on the original character played by Ivanna Sakhno have been revealed by The Illuminerdi. Illuminerdi previously broke that Amandla Stenberg was in advanced talks with Lucasfilm regarding the lead role in The Acolyte, which Variety later backed up.

Illuminerdi report that Sakhno’s character is named Astrid, but this is more than likely a codename. Astrid is reportedly a striking, ferocious and formidable mercenary, who must decide between paths – that of her unit, or take hold of her own aspiration in service of her glory.

In my opinion this looks to be from a casting grid for the Ahsoka series, something Illuminerdi have been great reporting on in the past with various other franchises and productions.

Ivanna Sakhno is still relatively unknown, but is best known for her role is Pacific Rim: Uprising which stars Star Wars alumni John Boyega and Adria Arjona, the Mila Kunis led The Spy Who Dumped Me, and most recently the Hulu led series, High Fidelity, led by Zoe Kravitz.

The Ahsoka series is currently in pre-production and is looking to begin filming in March and with production expected to last up until the Fall. Sakhno joins Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren. Ahsoka is expected to release sometime in 2023.
