Did the villain of the series and Din Djarin appear in The Book of Boba Fett trailer?

Yesterday we finally got our first trailer for The Book of Boba Fett and though the trailer didn’t show us much, it may have confirmed two ongoing rumours regarding the series.

Previously there was a rumour that originated on Reddit that claimed the or a villain of the series was called Hammerhead. It was unknown if that was the name of the character or if it was just what the villain was being referenced as. Thanks to the newly released trailer, it appears the rumour may actually be true as we see an Ithorian, also known as hammerheads, meeting with Boba Fett. The Redditor claimed that in the scene he knew of Hammerhead has three bodyguards, as does Boba Fett (Boba’s bodyguards are two Gamorrean guards and Fennec Shand) and neither character dies, but their bodyguards do. The Redditor also claimed that at some point Boba Fett and Hammerhead team up to take down another villain.

However the trailer may confirm another rumour. Din Djarin has been long rumoured to be making an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett for many months and multiple credible outlets have reported they’ve heard the same, for months I’ve been saying I’ve heard this from my sources too, but the first to report Djarin appearing in the series was Cinelinx.

We don’t see Din Djarin in the trailer, but we do hear a line from what sounds very much like Pedro Pascal. “I heard you sit on the throne of your former employer” the voice says. Subtitles for the trailer list the voice as ‘Alien 1’, but to me that voice sounds far too much like Pascal to be anything but Din Djarin. Alien 1 is also credited with an earlier line, “I’ve heard otherwise” but this sounds nothing like Pedro and the trailer is edited in a way for you to assume it’s the Ithorian on screen. The lines themselves seem to be edited in a way to appear they’re being delivered by the same character as part of a conversation, but I personally believe it’s just some smart editing. I could be wrong, but I’m just simply pointing out how strikingly similar the voice delivering said line is to Pascal’s.

This sounds far too similar to Pedro for it not to be Din. He’s been long rumoured to be in it. pic.twitter.com/6OPoyAChMr

Many well known characters have been rumoured to appear in the upcoming The Mandalorian spin-off including Din Djarin, Cobb Vanth, Bossk, IG-88, Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt, Luke Skywalker and Grogu. Admittedly some of those reports come from shaky outlets with a very hit and miss track record.

It’s exciting to start getting confirmation on various rumours circulating around the series. I’ve been hearing some truly exciting things regarding The Book of Boba Fett and if true fans will be ecstatic and Robert Rodriguez’s comments about the show over delivering may not be that far fetched. Hopefully I can get some more confirmation on various tidbits I’ve heard and bring you some exclusive reports of the series soon.
