Over the weekend Disney had their D23 Brazil event where lucky fans in attendance got to see exclusive first look footage of a number of upcoming film and television projects. The vast majority of the footage shown stayed exclusive to the event, though a few trailers were officially released online such as Mufasa: The Lion King, The Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World. Unfortunately for us Star Wars fans, no footage was released from projects set in a galaxy far, far away.

Lucasfilm showed a behind the scenes featurette of the second and final season of Andor, which might now be titled Andor: A Star Wars Story given some promotional images used, a teaser for The Mandalorian and Grogu, along with a scene from Skeleton Crew. The footage shown for Andor and The Mandalorian were the same from this Summer’s D23 in the states.
Today a sizzle reel for Disney+ appeared online, perhaps prematurely as I can’t find an official Disney upload of the trailer (Update @ 2pm GMT: Embedded official upload), that showcased footage from their upcoming 2025 series. TV shows shown include Daredevil: Born Again, Iron Heart, Alien: Earth, The Bear season four, Percy Jackson season two, Chad Powers and more. The sizzle reel included footage from Skeleton Crew, the next Star Wars live-action series which is set to debut on December 3rd, and more excitingly, gave us an official first look at the second and final season of Andor.
The Andor footage see’s Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) pushing back against Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) who is criticising our lead for thinking like a thief as Cassian argues that he’s thinking like a soldier – Luthen tells him he needs to think like a leader. We see Stormtroopers walking down a set of stairs with blasters in hand towards a crowd of civilians, Bix (Adria Arjona) speaking to someone off screen about needing a pilot, Cassian starting up a TIE Fighter as he looks to be making an escape from an Imperial facility, Cassian firing a shot from a blaster and an explosion which appears to be in the same area as the Stormtrooper scene, Cassian walking at the Rebel Yavin IV base, Bix and Wilmon (Muhannad Bhaier) looking concerned and K2SO walking on what appears Coruscant.
On Friday I teased on the Star Wars Santa YouTube show that I might know some details on scenes from Andor season two and would share those details if I received support via my Ko-Fi page as the website has not been doing well in recent months. Unfortunately nobody tipped me on Ko-Fi and my lips remained sealed. However, one of the scenes I know about might have been briefly shown in this sizzle reel, the scene where the Stormtroopers are walking down a flight of stairs and it’s an exciting scene. Maybe I’ll get to talk about it with you lovely bunch someday. Maybe not. You know what to do.
The second and final season of Andor is due to release on April 22nd and I for one cannot wait. Andor has been the best piece of Star Wars content released under the Disney era, in my opinion. I’m also looking forward to other titles in the sizzle reel such as Alien: Earth which comes from Fargo’s Noah Hawley, Daredevil: Born Again, the fourth season of The Bear and the Glenn Powell Led comedy, Chad Powers. Judging from the slate, I think I’ll be subscribed to Disney’s streaming service for a larger portion of the year than I have this.
