The second season for the Disney+ series, Ahsoka, is due to begin shooting this April (as I previously exclusively reported) and instead of filming in the United States, this time around the series will be shooting in the United Kingdom. Recently I exclusively revealed that Ahsoka season two will be shooting at Longcross Studios and is operating under the codename Firebird.
Last week it was exclusively reported by Jeff Sneider that Rory McCann had been cast as Baylan Skoll, taking over the role after the sudden and unfortunate passing of Ray Stevenson in 2023. I corroborated the report and shortly after the trades also confirmed the news of the Skoll recasting.

As readers will know, I always cover Sneider’s reports as he’s a very reliable news source and I only cover reports from outlets or individuals that I deem reputable. It’s why I don’t cover a good handful of “leakers” due to how incorrect most of their reports turn out to be. Today however, I’m covering an individual that I have not covered in the past or usually would, despite being a fan of their podcasting work and punditry, and that comes in a from of a few tidbits from Kristian Harloff.
In a recent livestream, Harloff revealed that he’s been told that Ewan McGregor would be appearing in the second season of Ahsoka as Obi-Wan Kenobi for a Clone Wars flashback and that he would be joined by Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and Ariana Greenblatt as a young Ahsoka Tano.
The reason I’m covering these tidbits from Kristian Harloff is because I was told the same thing from a single person a couple of weeks ago. As readers know, I will not run anything without having a second source on a story, which has cost me many times in the effort to be first and to breaking the exclusives, but I’d rather make sure a story is accurate than racing to get a story out in an attempt to be first, only to then be proven wrong.
I can’t say with any certainty whatsoever that McGregor and Greenblat will be featuring in the second season of Ahsoka, just that a single source mentioned that the plan was to have them in a Clone Wars flashback, but I’m more confident in Hayden Christensen appearing in the season two in more than just the aforementioned flashback.
I must stress that I am not saying this is happening or that I’m confident in the rumour itself, just that it is something I have heard fairly recently. But again, I did not run this story – there’s not been enough backing for my liking. Readers should take this purely as a rumour and nothing else, for now.
The same source also mentioned that Ahsoka season two was looking to cast an important female character for the second season which may or may not be connected what was calling out to Baylan Skoll on Peridea. I don’t want to give fans any hope as to what that character is or speculate on it, but I’ll give updates if I get any.
The second season of Ahsoka will likely not release until sometime in 2026.
