Hello there! Before we continue with the article, I kindly ask for you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

According to multiple sources of mine, I am able to exclusively reveal that the upcoming live-action Star Wars series, The Acolyte, was filming earlier this week at Shinfield Studios, Berkshire and that the production was utilising the large outdoor set located behind Shinfield Studios which looks to be a town or marketplace of some kind. Additionally onlookers have informed me that they saw multiple actors being ushered in and out of trailers including the series lead, Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies).

The Acolyte was created by Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) who will also serve as the showrunner of the series as well as director. The series is led by Amandla Stenberg with Lee Jung-Jae (Squid Game) being touted as the male lead. Jodie Turner Smith (White Noise), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place) and Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll) round out the rest of the announced cast. The series focuses on the emergence of the dark-side during the final years of the High Republic era.

The Acolyte is expected to film until May in the United Kingdom with a release expected sometime in 2024. Along with The Acolyte, the second season of Andor is set to begin filming next month in the U.K. with production running until August. Hopefully I can get some information on both productions over the coming months as well as set pictures. Across the pond Ahsoka is nearing the end of production (may have even wrapped), Skeleton Crew will continue to film until December, and there’s rumblings that the fourth season of The Mandalorian is gearing up to start filming at Manhattan Beach Studios in November.
