Back in March we at Bespin Bulletin were able to locate a set of The Mandalorian season three in El Dorado Park in Long Beach, California and saw multiple scenes being directed by Bryce Dallas Howard play out from afar. During that month we shared various images and revealed that we spotted the return of Simon Kassianides who plays Axe Woves alongside Katee Sackhoff. We also captured footage of scenes playing out which you can see one of below.
As you can see from the video, Bo Katan is facing off against a fellow helmetless Mandalorian. The Mandalorian she’s fighting bares a resemblance to Woves, but as does the man behind her so we can’t say if Woves is an enemy or an ally in this scene. Though not clearly in the video we’ve posted, an actress in Mandalorian gear baring a resemblance to Sasha Banks’ Koska Reeves was also seen on this set and can be see seen in the video, but we didn’t get as good of a look at the performer as we did Kassianides and the unmissable Katee Sackhoff. Banks has previously claimed in the Fall of last year that she would not be appearing in the third season of the hit Disney+ series, but as we know actors attached to Star Wars have a tendency to lie to keep secrets of the production and Banks is no different as she previously claimed she wouldn’t appear in any additional episodes of The Mandalorian season two after debuting in The Heiress, and as we know Koska Reeves played a role in the season two finale.
No matter what Bo-Katan appears to be facing off against a fellow Mandalorian, a Mandalorian in what appears to be Night Owls colours. One theory that springs to mind is perhaps there’s Mandalorian’s that secretly work for the Empire as we know Mof Gideon was the ruler of Mandalore by being the owner of the Darksaber before Din Djarin took possession of the weapon. Another theory is that Kryze is facing off against a member of an opposing clan, as it’s previously been reported that other clans appear in the series and join up with Bo Katan, Din and crew for a ceremony of sorts in the mines of Mandalore.
