We’re only just over two months away from the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, the follow up feature film to the highly successful Disney+ series, and the first live-action new Star Wars movie to be released in theatres in seven years, the first new release since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
As we inch ever closer to the release of the picture, promotion has started to ramp up. Just last week Empire Magazine unveiled The Mandalorian and Grogu cover for their latest issue which features quotes from star Pedro Pascal, director and creator Jon Favreau and from Lucasfilm co-president, Dave Filoni. Now the first TV spot for the upcoming release has been released and made its way online.
The TV spot titled “About” mostly showcases scenes from the official trailer which released last month, but there’s a couple new scenes that previously weren’t released online officially.
The spot features a couple of scenes that featured in an alternative trailer that had been playing this weekend ahead of the latest Disney and Pixar release Hoppers, which we previously wrote about.
One of the scenes see’s Din Djarin holding Grogu as they fly towards their ship on the previously seen snow planet that has featured in the promotional material, where Din takes down an AT-AT. Once onboard the ship, Din Djarin asks Grogu if he’s okay before our little green friend lets out a sneeze in a cute scene.
The Mandalorian and Grogu TV Spot
As the weeks go by and the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu gets closer and closer, more spots and more new footage will arrive online for content hungry fans to enjoy. The Jon Favreau directed flick hits theatres on May 22nd.
