Footage for Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett rumoured to debut on Disney Plus Day

According to a new report footage for The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor and The Mandalorian will debut on November 12th.

The report comes from StarWarsNewsNet which is a website I personally consider reliable, in particular during the run up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Since then the website hasn’t really participated in ‘scoops’ until this year.

SWNN are claiming that footage for all the Star Wars series currently filming or in post production will debut on Disney+ Day next week. It feels like a fans dream come true if the report is true.

According to the website, Obi-Wan Kenobi will have its first official teaser released. The series is currently many months away from releasing, but wrapped production at the very end of August. It’s worth noting that last year Disney debuted a sizzle reel for investors on the Disney Investors Day which featured interviews with Ewan McGregor and Deborah Chow along with multiple pieces of concept art.

StarWarsNewsNet’s source, singular, also said to expect a sizzle reel for Andor. Last year Lucasfilm debuted a behind the scenes sizzle reel featuring concept art and sets being constructed. According to my source, Andor is expected to release after Kenobi so to see anything other than a brief sizzle reel would be a surprise with the series so far out.

Despite just getting the trailer for The Book of Boba Fett this week, SWNN claim we will get a behind the scenes sizzle reel for Fett. During Star Wars celebration in 2019, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni debuted a behind the scenes sizzle reel of The Mandalorian exclusively for fans in attendance of Star Wars Celebration, so a behind the scenes look at the first new series since Mando shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Heck it could even be tied to the Boba Fett documentary releasing that day.

The last piece of footage we can apparently expect is behind the scenes footage of The Mandalorian season three which began filming in late September. The series has been filming for just over a month and it’s leading man Pedro Pascal has been in Canada during the time filming The Last of Us for HBO, so if there is actually footage then expect it to be brief and to maybe not feature Pascal.

Lastly StarWarsNewsNet claim that we should expect announcements and believe a new animated series will be announced along with a teaser for the second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Big Screen Leaks and Cinelinx earlier this week reported that an animated series titled Crimson Dawn focusing on Darth Maul was in development with the former reporting it could be announced on Disney Plus Day.

I’m not trying to piss on anybodies chips, but to be transparent I’ve had conversations with various other outlets and ‘insiders’ regarding what to expect on Disney Plus Day and many of them said word for word what StarWarsNewsNet have reported. This could be another badly kept secret, like The Book of Boba Fett trailer debuting this week or it’s just the same rumours making its way around various ‘insiders’ and outlets within the same circles. I hope it’s the former and I would LOVE to see something from all of these projects.
