Disney D23 Brazil event is due to take place next weekend, running from the eighth of November until the truth. Disney is expected to shares updates on various films and TV series across their plethora of studios including Star Wars and Marvel Studios.
Before we continue with the article, I’d just like to share that if you’re a fan of Bespin Bulletin and would like to support the website, you can do show by tipping via Ko-Fi or my becoming a Patreon member. Any support would be greatly appreciated. The site was not been doing well, I haven’t been paid for most of the year, and Patreon numbers have been dwindling. So if you feel like helping me and the site outside, that would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, on with the news!
It’s likely that the focus of Lucasfilm during this event will be Skeleton Crew, the next live-action Star Wars Disney+ series, which is slated to debut on the streaming service on December third with two episodes. Yesterday a new trailer for the series was released.
However, Lucasfilm will likely offer updates on some of their other projects and according Cryptic4K on X, a user that’s been very reliable when it comes to runtimes and release dates for trailers, Lucasfilm are set to debut footage at the event for their next theatrical film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, along with their only live-action series of next year, Andor season two.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise as Lucasfilm have been showing off footage for Andor since two at these sort of events since April of last year. During the last Star Wars Celebration which took place in London in April last year, Lucasfilm debuted a tease for Andor’s second and final season to those exclusively in the room. Granted, Andor was originally planned to release this year, but the strikes of 2023 delayed the release of the series until 2025, as I exclusively reported last year. Over the Summer, Lucasfilm debuted a behind the scenes sizzle reel for Andor’s second season at D23 to those in attendance.

I would personally be surprised if Lucasfilm released any of the Andor footage publicly next week given that all the focus at this time is on Skeleton Crew which debuts in a month from now. In addition we don’t have a release window for Andor other than sometime next year. I think those lucky Brazilian fans in attendance will get to see the footage and we at home will have to sit and wait.
The Mandalorian and Grogu isn’t due to release until May of 2026 in theatres and at this Summer’s D23, Lucasfilm debuted a brief teaser for the flick which was shown exclusively in attendance. I wonder if the Brazilian crowd will get the same teaser, or if it’ll be a new one given that the flick has been shooting for around four months.
Just like Andor season two, I don’t expect The Mandalorian and Grogu footage to release online officially for the same reasons.
In addition to the Star Wars projects mentioned, Cryptic4K mentioned that Marvel fans are in for a treat with footage expected to be shown for Fantastic Four: First Steps, Daredevil: Born Again and Captain America: Brave New World. They also shared that footage for other Disney projects such as Tron: Ares, Mufasa, Zootopia 2, Snow White, Lilo and Stitch, and Elio will also debut.
You can read the D23 description for The Mandalorian and Grogu footage here. Lucasfilm and Marvel’s D23 Brazil presentation will begin on Saturday at 11:30am PST.
