Fortnite has officially unveiled the Battle Pass poster for the their next season, Galactic Battle, which is a dedicated Star Wars season and will include various new Star Wars skins, locations, items and more.
The promotional Battle Pass artwork for the next season, Chapter 6 Season 3, showcases two Fortnite original skins in Wookie Team Leader and a Jedi variant of Evie (there’s also a Sith version) along with three Star Wars characters – Emperor Palpatine, Poe Dameron and unexpectedly, General Grievous.
Epic Games during Star Wars Celebration confirmed that Wookie Team Leader and Emperor Palpatine would be Battle Pass items. Fortnite content creators also said Darth Jar Jar, who is unfortunately missing from the promotional artwork, would also be a Battle Pass skin. Binks’ absence makes me wonder if he’s a bonus skin that will only be unlocked by completing a specific quest line and isn’t part of the core Battle Pass line up.
This means that other announced skins such Mace Windu, Captain Phasma and First Order Troopers are all Item Shop skins and rumoured upcoming skins such as C3PO, Qui Gon Jinn and a TIE Fighter Pilot will also be Item Shop skins.
Personally I don’t feel as if I’m missing out on the Item Shop skins as the new additions I was most looking forward to was Jar Jar, Palpatine and of course, General Grievous.
The promotional Battle Pass artwork also shows Evie wielding a purple lightsaber, though it’s not Mace Windu’s, and upon further inspection, the lightsaber General Grievous is holding is not belonging to any specific Jedi. Could we be getting customisable lightsaber pickaxes?
Jango Fett’s WESTAR-34 blaster can also be spotted being held by Poe Dameron in the artwork which also raises the question if Jango could also be coming to Fortnite this season, likely as a Item Shop skin.
