Kathleen Kennedy talks about the emotional reunion between Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen on set of Obi-Wan Kenobi

Kathleen Kennedy has opened up on the emotional reunion between Obi-Wan Kenobi stars, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen.

Speaking with Empire Magazine, LucasFilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, spoke about Ewan McGregor reuniting with his Revenge of the Sith co-star on set of the upcoming Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, telling the magazine, “The thing that was most exciting was being on the set and watching the two of them get excited. They hadn’t seen one another in a long time. I was surprised at just how incredibly emotional it was for each of them to find themselves back in these roles, and just realising how important Star Wars was to each of them. It was the beginning of their careers.”

Kennedy didn’t reveal any additional details on the reunion or any details on the Obi-Wan Kenobi series in the excerpt from the latest issue from Empire Magazine that was released online, but there’s a possibility the Lucasfilm president gives more details when the latest issue releases on November 25th.
