    Korean Star Wars: The Acolyte TV spot releases, New images and what episode they’re from

    The release of the next live-action Star Wars series, The Acolyte, is fast approaching, with the High Republic era series due to hit Disney+ in just six weeks on June 4th and naturally marketing for the series is ramping up.

    Before we continue with the article, I’d just like to share that if you’re a fan of Bespin Bulletin and would like to support the website, you can do show by tipping via Ko-Fi or my becoming a Patreon member. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Now, on with the news.

    One of the stars of the series, the male lead, Lee Jung-Jae (Squid Game), who plays Sol, appears in a newly released Korean TV spot that promotes not just the upcoming series, but wishes fans a happy Star Wars Day aka May 4th. Jung-Jae says the following in the spot;

    “Hello. Star Wars Day is in a week. Star Wars Day 2024 will welcome everyone with many events. Have an unforgettable time at Star Wars Day. See you at the Disney+ original series, The Acolyte, releasing this year in June. May the force be with you.”

    May 4th this year will have many events just as Jung-Jae boasts. Some of which include an Epic Star Wars event in Fortnite (see what I did there?), the release of the animated anthology series, Tales of the Empire, on Disney+ and all nine Skywalker saga films will be re-released in theatres. The Phantom Menace re-release will include exclusive footage of The Acolyte.

    Unfortunately the TV spot doesn’t feature much new footage other than a quick shot of Neimoidian’s that was featured in The Acolyte trailer that was shown during Star Wars Celebration in London over a year ago. That trailer leaked online multiple times following the event, though it’s good to see the species in all their glory in an officially released promotional clip.

    Disney also released a collection of images from the series that reveals which episode the stills are from. The vast majority of the stills are taken from the first episode, but range from episode one to seven, though there are no stills taken from episodes five, six and the season finale, episode eight. Take a look below.

    Set during the High Republic era, The Acolyte, will follow an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.

    The Acolyte stars Amandla Stenberg (Bodies, Bodies, Bodies) as the lead, as well as Lee Jung Jae (Squid Game), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Jodie Turner-Smith (After Yang), Charlie Bennett (Russian Doll), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Dean Charles Chapman (1917), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) and Margarita Levieva (Daredevil: Born Again).

    The Acolyte premieres on Disney+ on June 4th with TWO episodes.
