Monsters at Work studio working on Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi?

Sleuths on Reddit may have just discovered what studio is behind the recently leaked Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi series.

Redditor CommanderVisor discovered a LinkedIn page from ICON Creative Studios looking to employ a number of animators for a new unannounced Lucasfilm animation project. The listing appeared in November of this year. Now you may be wondering who are ICON? and asking yourself what should I expect? Let’s answers those questions.

    Elena of Avalor

ICON is a CG animation studio based in Canada and the production team has had over thirty years of experience with CG for television and consists of over six hundred team members. ICON has worked with Disney in the past with series such as Monsters at Work, The Rocketeer, T.O.T.S., and Elena of Avalor. They also worked on the series Action Pack, Rocket Club, Supernatural Academy, Tarzan and Jane, and Kong: King of the Apes. ICON are also currently producing a new Transformers animated series for Nickelodeon as well as new Alice in Wonderland animated series for Disney.

Personally I’m only somewhat familiar with their work on Monsters at Work, but Redditors have been praising the studios work on the Elena of Avalor series and specials, particularly giving praise to their attention to detail. However as you can tell from the listing of their work, the studio seems to focus on work aimed at a very young audience, perhaps even younger than the demographic Clone Wars, Rebels, The Bad Batch and Resistance are targeted at.

    Action Pack

We’re merely assuming that Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is an animated series, and in all honesty it probably is. We’re also speculating that Tales is the series ICON is working on primarily due to the fact that no other Star Wars series have been leaked, announced or even seriously rumoured. Tales of the Jedi leaked due to images of a Lucasfilm Christmas gift leaking online recently and featured logo’s for several of Lucasfilm’s upcoming releases including The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Bad Batch, Andor, Willow and Indiana Jones 5 on the packaging alongside the unannounced Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.
