Star Wars Galactic Racer just got a brand new trailer and it is full of epic, fast-paced action. Fuse Games revealed this new look at the Summer Game Fest livestream on Friday night. We’ll be taking a quick look at the trailer below.
The game is racing towards its October 6th release date and developers Fuse Games and publisher Secret Mode are not slowing down on this marketing cycle. We’ve already seen and heard quite a bit about this game since its announcement last December.
Now another great look showing off the game in action is out for all to see. This is a story trailer so it gives us a bit more details on the game’s canonical single player mode. Plus, lots of new footage especially when it comes to podracing.
We also can share what new things Fuse Games have said about the game in a blog post and press release. This includes brand new information on how podracing and the runs-based campaign will work and more.

“Darius Pax may have founded the Galactic League, but Kestar Bool dominates it. As talented as he is villainous, Kestar uses his position as League Champion to threaten other pilots and extend his powerful reach even further.
In a bid to retain control over his racing league, Darius Pax enlists the help of Shade, a mysterious pilot with a personal grudge against the Bool family. With the help of the energetic engineer Hibi and a certain legendary podracer, Shade’s sights are set on unseating the corrupt reigning champion.
The runs-based story campaign sees players carving their own path through the League, choosing between different events as they progress with unique unlocks and new challenges at every turn. There’s no turning back once an event is chosen. If a pilot crashes too many times, they wreck out of the tour and will need to regroup, rebuild, and begin again. Only certain perks and unlocks earned in previous attempts are carried over to the next run. Racers will start each tour fresh with new decisions and choices to make for another chance to take down league champion Kestar Bool.
Kestar and Shade may be the main characters in the campaign, but there are many other pilots vying for the top spot. In the trailer, Shade can be seen exploring the paddock, where fellow racers congregate to share stories, throw down challenges, and even provide support. Each planet’s paddock features the mechanic – Hibi – and her unique workshop, where Shade can fit new parts. This will help prepare Shade the ultimate test in the Galactic League.
This will help prepare Shade for the ultimate test in the Galactic League: the newly revealed location of Derven Acos, a custom-built arena designed specifically for the racing league. Derven Acos features every planetary condition that racers will have encountered throughout the tour, all combined into a mighty gauntlet that will push a pilot’s skills to the limit. Racers will need nerves of steel and a well-tuned build for the showpiece events of the Galactic League.
A press release for the game also details more information on podracing:
“Fans also get their first look at the iconic podracers being piloted outside of the Mos Espa Circuit, bringing these powerful machines to planets with new challenges to overcome. In addition to discovering the part podracing plays in the singleplayer story campaign, eager racers can choose to jump straight into podracing as soon as they start playing Star Wars: Galactic Racer through the Arcade mode and will get to experience unique podracer focused online multiplayer events for the very first time.
