A brand new trailer for Star Wars Galactic Racer was included during last night’s PlayStation State of Play event.
It contains lots of new gameplay from the various planets and even gives us a quick look at Sebulba’s pod in action alongside Ben Quadinaros. Lots of new details on things like game modes plus some new screenshots were also provided following the live event. Let’s dive into everything new for Star Wars Galactic Racer.
New Gameplay Is Here
The new trailer shows off plenty of high-octane clips from across the galaxy, gives us a little more on the narrative and ends with both Sebulba and Ben Quadinaros battling it out in the same location as The Phantom Menace’s podrace. Quadinaros’ inclusion has been very well received by fans online and there is even more excitement around this game thanks to its trailer showcasing just what people have been asking for.
Whilst not a long trailer, it certainly looks like the team over at Fuse Games have made some strides in polishing the game’s visuals since its reveal trailer in December. The locations look particularly stunning and the racer destruction is modern Burnout but in space.

Story Information
A press release from the game’s publisher has given us some details on the game’s campaign. The Galactic League is an unsanctioned racing league born in the lawless Outer Rim. It is currently dominated by Kestar Bool. In danger of losing his creation and with nowhere else to turn, league organizer Darius Pax (who narrates the trailer) calls on the dauntless pilot Shade, a lone racer with a personal grudge against the Bool family, to help take Kestar down and reclaim control over the league.
You’ll be playing as Shade in this “immersive campaign” and can choose from a branching path of events to earn parts, tools and upgrades. You’ll be able to try out new builds in different repulsorcraft, landspeeders, skim speeders, speeder bikes, and podracers. Your mechanic Hibi will help you build the ultimate vehicle to suit your racing style.
Lucasfilm Games executive producer Craig Derrick tells StarWars.com that the aim for this game is to “deliver a racing experience that’s cinematic, skill-driven, and unmistakably Star Wars”.
New Game Modes Announced
We already knew there would be a singleplayer campaign and up to 12 player online multiplayer but more modes have now been confirmed.
You will be able to do solo time trials and precision driving challenges in Arcade mode. Plus, Scenarios mode provides even more conditions, events and challenges to test your racing expertise against specific goals per the press release. These unique conditions range from practice runs on new tracks to hardcore races that will push your piloting skills to the limit. Leaderboards will also be part of the game.
As for multiplayer, they add you can climb the ranks, challenge rivals, and shape your path as an elite racer. More details about each of these gameplay modes will be shared at a later date says Fuse Games and Secret Mode.
New Screenshots And Artwork
The key art for the game was also revealed. It has a muted but textured look to it. The artwork showcases the new and familiar faces, locations and racecraft types. Check it out below and click to view it at full resolution.

As for screenshots, we have two new ones focusing on Sebulba’s podracer at the Boonta Eve Classic. Click on them below to view at full resolution.

Whilst no specific release date was given at the end of this new trailer, they are doubling down on a 2026 release. Lucasfilm like to have games come out around the time of a new live action project. We have two out this year: The Mandalorian and Grogu plus Ahsoka Season 2. Perhaps Galactic Racer can slot into a late June release following Mando and Zero Company is an Autumn drop when Ahsoka is out? We’ll have to wait and see.
