New Star Wars The Clone Wars Funko Pop figures are coming very soon according to a reliable leaker. Fans of the animated show will be excited to hear there will be new merchandise on its way as soon as next month.
This news comes from reputable Funko leaker DisTrackers on Twitter. They teased a “good” set of Funko Pop vinyls are slated for an April release. This will include Star Wars animation characters along with others from Phineas and Ferb, Toy Story 5, Devil Wears Prada 2 and Stranger Things. Given we are just a little over two weeks away from April, we should expect to see this wave of products get officially revealed very soon.
The initial Tweet from the leaker sparked clarification requests from followers regarding which Lucasfilm Animation projects would be featured. DisTrackers offered additional information on a general idea of what to expect. When a follower asked if the figures would be based on The Clone Wars, Rebels, or newer projects, DisTrackers replied with “They are Clone Wars era iirc (if I remember correctly).”
Furthermore, we have some confirmation of what won’t be included. Someone asked DisTrackers if there will be droids or Ewoks. Neither droids or Ewoks will be in this wave according to the insider so fans of those two types will be left out this time.
An April release window for Clone Wars-era figures is a little fitting given the upcoming premiere of Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. The latest Lucasfilm Animation project will begin airing on Disney+ from April 6th. Funko Pops based on the Maul – Shadow Lord series were officially revealed back in February. More recently, several new The Mandalorian and Grogu Pops were also officially revealed in February. These have begun shipping to customers.
