Recently a new trailer released of The Mandalorian and Grogu after a six month wait between trailers. Fans seemed to enjoy the trailer and it seemed to go over better than the teaser trailer that was released back in September.
Marketing for the first new theatrical Star Wars release in seven years is sure to pick up in the coming months and we’ll be swamped with new TV spots, interviews and promotional material, but for now, we’re still sort of in the calm before the storm.
In a previous article where we speculated about when fans could see The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer release, this was before the official trailer released, we speculated that a trailer could play ahead of the next major Disney theatrical release, Hoppers, the latest animated flick from Pixar, which releases on March 6th. It appears as if The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer will play ahead of that movie, but with a twist.
Just like how the teaser trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu was playing in front of Zootopia 2 and Avatar: Fire and Ash back in November and December, the latest trailer that seems to be attached to Hoppers will trailer will have some alternate scenes in places of ones featured in the trailers that were officially released online.

Trailer Description
The first new scene is in place of Din taking out two Snow Troopers and uses his flame thrower. In the new scene, Din Djarin is seen blowing up an AT-AT on a snow planet and jetting off into the sky towards his ship. Once onboard, Din sets Drogu down and asks if he’s okay before the camera focuses on our small boy and he sneezes in a cute moment.
Another alternate scene plays out with a voice over from Din Djarin asking if they should fight or run with Zeb saying he likes this kid (Grogu), that what I have just mentioned is in the latest trailer release, but the difference comes with the next cut as it shows Grogu lifting his hand to use the force and taking out droids, whereas in the official trailer, it shows a bunch of Stormtroopers being taken out.
The changes aren’t anything substantial, but they’re worth noting and is something for fans to keep an eye out for when or if they’re heading to the theatres next weekend to see Hoppers, which looks like a fun time.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is set to release on May 22nd in theatres and you can see the alternate trailer here.
